Before you can 3D print anything, you always need a 3D model. A 3D model is a virtual input that a 3D printer needs to print an object. You can get a 3D file through 3D scanning, designing something from scratch in your favorite 3D design tool or hiring a 3D designer to do the modeling for you.
To upload your 3D file for an instant price quote, you can click on the 'UPLOAD 3D MODEL' button. This is accessible on any page of the website and will redirect you to the 3D print lab.
Now you can select the metric unit in which you created the 3D model and click 'UPLOAD YOUR 3D MODEL' to browse for a file. Please take note that the maximum file size per single file is 100 MB and that we support numerous 3D file formats. However, if the format of your file is not supported, you can zip your file, upload the zip file and request an offline price. One of our support engineers will then contact you shortly after.
After your file is uploaded and verified, prices for all materials will be shown. Now you can choose over 100 possible material, color and finish combinations and play around with scale and quantities. If you order two or more copies of a model, the price per model automatically decreases for most materials, mainly because the preparation of multiple copies can be carried out more efficiently.
