How Accurately Can You 3D Print My Model?

Dimensional accuracy relates to the deviation of a printed part from the nominal size of the 3D model. The accuracy strongly depends on the selected material and technology. 

Please note that accuracy and level of detail are not the same things. The level of detail can be described as the difference in height between two surfaces (e.g. extruded text on a surface). 

Accuracy values are listed below and clearly indicated on each material page.

ABS, high-detail resin ± 0.1% (with a lower limit of ± 0.2 mm)
Titanium
± 0.2% (with a lower limit of ± 200µ)
Gray resin, mammoth resin, transparent resin
± 0.2% (with a lower limit of ± 0.2 mm)
Polyamide (MJF) ± 0.3% (with a lower limit of ± 0.2 mm)
Alumide, polyamide (SLS)
± 0.3% (with a lower limit of ± 0.3 mm)
Rubber-like
±0.9%(XY) up to ±1.8% (Z) with lower limits on ±1 mm (XY) up to ±1.5mm (Z)*
Steel
± 1% (after 2-3% shrinkage compensation)
Aluminum ± 2% (with a lower limit of ± 200µ)
Brass, bronze, copper, gold, silver Minimum accuracy ± 5% (including finish and geometry variables)
Average accuracy ± 2% (around ± 0.1 mm)
Multicolor+ N/A

*Please note that our CAD team will position the parts so that the lowest dimension is positioned in the Z-axis for the best possible result.
